My friends, fireworks + body of water = double the show! HWYD loves that Savannah has fireworks every month. It's a great experience for adults and kids alike, and River Street is a fantastic venue for a good dinner, an evening stroll through the First Friday activities, and the best free light show around! The fabulous display starts at 9:00pm on Friday.

Last year, Kevin Bacon showed up. Who knows what this year's Atlanta Baconfest will have it store?! Go find out on Saturday, March 29, at the Masquerade. All in support of Dad's Garage Theater, the fest has some great bacon-related stuff happening all day long. To start, they're cooking 2250 pounds of the good stuff, and they're, um, "pairing" it with PBR. Not bad. Carnival games, bands, bacon art, and a silent auction fill out the day. 21 and over, and no dogs we're afraid. Gates open at 1, and they go till 6p.

A staple of the Inman Park cuisine scene, Sotto Sotto never disappoints with a traditional and refined interpretation of Northern Italy's best dishes. The seafood risotto is a staple in an ever updating menu. Carnaroli rice prepared in a reduced stock and covering clams, mussels, scallops, shrimp, and calamari. Brilliant!

Mathew McConaughey is a whole new guy these days. Truly committed to his craft, and winning Oscars as a result. His recent role as an AIDS ravaged cowboy in Dallas Buyers Club was agreed by all as the Oscar performance of the year. And, it's a far cry from the, er, lighter roles McConaughey was deeply in a rut playing. We wondered what other actors have taken more serious roles in the past, to great acclaim. Luckily, About.com has us covered, with a top 10 list to boot. Will Ferrell, Jim Carrey, even Adam Sandler. Check it out in the read more button. And go see Dallas Buyers Club. An important film for our times.

Winner of Best Director and Best Visual Effects Oscars, Gravity has reopened in select theaters recently. If you didn't see it already, it's worth a look. Confounding and haunting, the film has a scope that's small in timeline and endeavor, but huge in consequence. To avoid any spoilers, we'll just say it's astronauts working to get home. But just how they do it, and the visual, emotional, physical - pick an adjective really - impact is staggering. Check it out today!
