Cioppino: Unum wine-paired dinner at Saltyard
In 1865, Achille Paladini arrived in San Francisco from Italy, and set about creating great food from the local ingredients. Cioppino was born. A fish stew similar to bouillabaisse or fish chowder, it is made from the day's catch, and can include fish, crab, clams, scallops, squid, and mussels. It varies from place to place, and chef to chef. Try out Chef Leahy's variety at a special Unum wine paired dinner at Saltyard at 6:30pm on January 27.
