Chicago, the Musical! It's playing at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre on Sunday Afternoon... |
Guns blazin'. Loose Ladies. Fast talkin' shisters and all. It's Chicago, and it's on at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre at 2 on Sunday. It's the last show, so make sure you get over there. Remember the feature film revival of Chicago back in 2002? Here's a little taste...
Go check it out folks! Tickets are $19 - $62. Get something up front for about $50.

Here's what you do Sunday
First: Sunday New York Times, anyone? Check it out on your iPad. Check out the book recommendations. There a great way to get ready for the week's reading.Second: Brunch at Canoe. What better a way to get in the mood for Chicago than a brunch by the river? It's right around the corner from the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre, and it's the best brunch in Vinings. Head over to Canoe a try at 11. Try the she-crab soup, and fried green tomato eggs Benedict. And don't forget your bloody mary (remember you can't get - ahem - adult drinks till 12:30). Take a walk by the river when you're done to take in the beauty and have a deep conversation with your companion. ($ - $30 per person)

Fourth: Nap time. No better way to spend a Sunday afternoon.
Finally: A good Sunday Dinner is in order. Try South City Kitchen in Vinings. Just like their sister restaurant in midtown, they bring great food, great service, and great ambiance. Check out this menu below! Try out the Heirloom Tomato and Watermelon salad to start, and follow up with the shrimp and red mule grits. So good! $40 per person.

Carbon Footprint:
Today's full day plan can take up to about 42 miles of driving, if your home base is midtown Atlanta. In fact, it's a rare one where you could probably get around with taxi alone for not much dough! The 42 miles equates to about 32 pounds of carbon dioxide, or the carbon sequestered by about 7 sq feet of forest. Calculations are based on the U.S. EPA's green house gas equivalencies calculator.
42 miles of driving
32 pounds of carbon dioxide
7 square feet of forest would be required to sequester this carbon.
Wonder why a gallon of gas (about 6 pounds) generates 20 pounds of green house gas? Check out this article at Slate.com.
