Open Mic Night at the Punchline: Wednesday, August 22, 2012

Here's what you do Wednesday, August 22, 2012.

Go check out some stand-up at Punchline's Open Mic Night
Wednesday night is half way to the weekend baby.  Go laugh your way through it at the Punchline's Open Mic Night.  Here's what they have to say about it:

"Open mic is where comedy comes to be born. At the Punchline it means a show unlike any other. We root for them all to do well, and some reward our faith. Some are on the way to getting better, but a few are like the comedy version of missing the rail when you jump your skateboard and crushing your nuts. It’s funny, but for all the wrong reasons. The Punchline has Atlanta’s oldest continuous comedy open mic night. Jeff Foxworthy, Pam Stone, Brian Regan, Darrell Hammond, and David Cross are among those comedians who have performed on an Open Mic at the Punchline. Comedians who are serious about what they do call the Punchline home."
Well said, my friends....  Show is at 8.  $10 cover.

Here's what you do on Wednesday:

First: Have a pastry from Alon's for breakfast.  They've been voted best bakery in Atlanta a bunch of times, and there's a reason for that!  The pastries are great!  Try the raspberry cheese danish, or the almond croissants. Yum!  ($10)

Second:  Yesterday, we started an herb garden by heading over to Home Depot to get all the stuff.  Follow this link to see yesterday's plan.  Now, it's time to plant.  Continue to follow Apartment Therapy's post.  And get ready for some basil, thyme, and sage.

Continue the One Pot Herb Garden today by planting all your delicious herbs.

Have Tapas at Eclipse di Luna.  The Ashford Dunwoody location.
Third:  Lunch at Eclipse di Luna.  Tapas time baby.  Order up some sangria.  Have the grilled asparagus with Manchego, the quesos espanoles, the tomate fresco, and the lomo de res - beef tenderloin with artichokes and grape tomatoes cooked a la plancha.  Cool man.  Real cool.  $20 per person.

Fourth:  Nap.  Siesta time.  Follow the perfect bed rules.

Fifth: Early dinner at Meehan's.  Just around the corner from the Punchline, go have some pub food at Meehan's.  Try out the bangers and mash and a Boddington's.  Get there early enough to make it to the show at 8. $20 per person.
