Couple and a Canvas: Wednesday, August 15, 2012

Here's what you do Wednesday, August 15, 2012.

Wanna have a great date?  Here's what you do.  Go to Blue Mark Studios Wednesday at 7p.  Bring your date.  Paint something together.  The class comes with a buffet for the two of you, and a bottle of wine.  Not too shabby.  Best part.  You get to create a memento of your date together.  Love it!  Best part is that there is a summer special on Wednesday.  The whole affair is $90 for you and your date together.   Sign up on the website soon.

Go to Blue Mark Studios for an Artistic Date with Buffet and Wine included.

Here's what you do Wednesday

First: Let's continue our breakfast at home extravaganza.  We've made bread pudding, crepes, pancakes, omelets, and scrambled eggs.  Ever read Real Simple?  Love that magazine.  Check out this morning pizza idea from them.  A baguette, ricotta cheese, and cherry tomatoes.  Sounds great.  ($10).

Second:  Volunteer at the Atlanta Humane Society.  Time to give back a little folks.  The Humane Society is a great place to start.  They have a long list of volunteer positions you can choose from.  Go hang out with the pups and kitties.  It's SOOOOO rewarding.

Volunteer at the Human Society.  Buddy was adopted by Eric - your spin class instructor (see below).   The two of them are inseparable.  Can't you see why?!!
Third:  Get your spin on!  Aren't you inspired by the Olympics to get your work out going?  Eric Aarons over at LA Fitness hosts a spin class every Monday and Wednesday at noon.  He can help you out!  Go work off your breakfast with Eric.  Check out this post we did about his spin class a while back.  ($15 per person for a guest pass).

Fourth:  Superfood at Empire State South.  After that workout, go have some superfood.  It's voted one of the top 100 foods you have to have in Atlanta before you die by Creative Loafing.  It's hanger steak, greens w/ radish, tomato, corn salad, field peas w/ creme fraiche, farro & pickled beets, watermelon.  It's $16, and it's oh so good.  Empire State South is an oasis in Midtown.  Just off 10th and Peachtree, which is arguably the center of Atlanta busy-ness, Empire brings a relaxed and refined air to a hectic day.  Pair your super food with a tall glass of water and a light glass of red.  You're good to go as you sail into the afternoon.  ($25 per person).  Don't forget to validate your parking ticket.

Fifth: Nap.  A little afternoon siesta will get you in just the right mood for the art date.  Don't forget to follow the perfect bed rules.

Finally:  Go paint with your date.  ($90 for two).
