Wanna know how to make your life a whole bunch better? Here's what you do. Make an arrangement with a good florist to provide you a new bouquet every one to two weeks for a year. Never has $15 made such a difference! I get my flowers through Candler Park Flower Mart (on McGlendon and Oakdale in Candler Park, just east of Little Five Points). Dawn and Wanda co-own the place, and they make some of the best bouquets around.
Here's how to make it better. Arrange to pick them up on Friday afternoon. Note that if you want to keep the cost down, you need to pick them up and not have them delivered. Before picking them up, take one of your favorite people to lunch, in Inman Park at Fritti, or in Virginia Highland at Murphy's, or in Little Five Points at the Vortex if you're feeling frisky. It makes for quite a Friday afternoon, and at the end of it, you have fresh flowers for the weekend!
